SHAWANO, WI – The Shawano School District has announced key updates for this year’s summer school program, including changes to building locations and registration timelines.
Brittany Alloy, Associate Principal at Shawano Community Middle School, says one of the biggest changes involves where classes will be held. Pre-4K through second grade students will attend summer school at Hillcrest Elementary, while students in grades three through eight will be housed at Olga Brener Intermediate School.
The adjustment expands Olga Brener’s typical summer configuration, which usually serves grades three through five, to now include middle school students as well.
Summer school is scheduled to run from May 27 through June 30, operating Monday through Friday.
Alloy says registration is not yet open as staffing positions are still being finalized, but families can expect student sign-ups to begin in mid-April.
