CLINTONVILLE, WI – Plans are moving forward to replace the aging press box at Don Jirschele Stadium after approval from the Clintonville Public Works Committee.
City officials say the current structure has deteriorated significantly, with foundation problems causing the building to lean, making removal necessary for safety and future improvements. A contractor has volunteered to handle demolition, while city Public Works crews will haul away the debris, with costs covered through the city’s existing operational budget.
The Clintonville Athletic Club will fund construction of the new facility, which will include an upgraded press box, storage space for equipment, and a covered batting cage.
City leaders say once the existing structure is removed, work can begin on the new building, paving the way for improved stadium features for athletes and fans.
