BONDUEL, WI – The Bonduel Bears are proving their resilience this season, carrying an impressive 18–3 record while navigating one of the toughest schedules in recent years. Head coach Duke Copp says the team has focused on living up to the expectations set by both the program and the community, even as close losses have tested their resolve. Those setbacks, including narrow defeats to Brillion, Manitowoc Lutheran, and Kewaunee, all came by five points or fewer, reinforcing just how competitive the Bears have been night in and night out. Copp says the team’s approach has been simple: learn from the losses, move forward, and stay focused on the next game.
Bonduel’s success has been fueled by strong performances across the roster, led by junior Quinn Wesenberg, who averages 19.3 points per game and provides consistent scoring production. Senior Ryan Westrich has been a dominant interior presence, averaging 16.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game while shooting over 60 percent from the field. Griffin Uelmen has stepped up as a key contributor as well, adding scoring and playmaking, while Jack Zernicke and Carter Moesch have provided steady support on both ends of the floor. Moesch is averaging over 11 points per game, and Zernicke continues to be a versatile presence with strong efficiency and court awareness.
The Bears’ balanced attack has translated into results on the court, including signature wins over Wittenberg-Birnamwood, Menominee Nation, and Pulaski. Bonduel has also shown offensive consistency, averaging 70 points per game as a team while shooting nearly 47 percent from the field and over 35 percent from three-point range.
With postseason play approaching, Bonduel’s ability to compete in tight games and rely on a deep, experienced lineup could prove to be a major advantage. After battling through a demanding schedule and growing stronger from each challenge, the Bears appear poised to make a strong push as the season enters its final stretch.
