Shawano Police were kept busy Wednesday. Early this morning, officers responded to a property damage complaint at the Engel Drive Apartments. A Bonduel woman reported her Jeep Grand Cherokee was damaged after striking a chunk of ice while driving home from work. She told officers snow removal operations left limited room on the roadway.
Police also handled a bail jumping case at ThedaCare Medical Center. Authorities report a complaint was initiated involving an individual with a prior case tied to operating a motor vehicle without a valid license or insurance.
Just before noon, officers investigated suspicious activity near Ash Circle and Highway 22 after a caller reported two individuals walking around a camper. Multiple units responded and checked the area.
Other calls Wednesday included a vehicle lockout at Scrub-A-Dub Auto, a shoplifting complaint at Charlie’s County Market, an ambulance assist for an elderly woman experiencing breathing difficulties, and a commercial alarm at Walsh Dental on North Main Street.

Clintonville Police Officers began the morning with extra patrols on South Madison Street and Anne Street, along with a school extra patrol on West Green Tree Road. A welfare check was conducted on 6th Street shortly after 8 a.m.
Traffic enforcement remained steady, with stops reported at North Main and West Green Tree Road, South Main Street, and later at South Main and 6th Street. Police also handled a traffic complaint at South Main and County Highway I.
In the afternoon, officers responded to a motor vehicle crash at North Main and West 12th Street, followed by a hit-and-run incident on South Main Street. Authorities have not released additional details on injuries.
Other calls included a citizen assist on East Morning Glory Drive, an animal complaint on 15th Street, a worthless check investigation on South Main Street, a suspicious complaint on East Morning Glory Drive, and a late-night welfare check on Maize Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wide range of calls. Just after midnight, deputies investigated reckless driving near Highways 29 and 22. Additional reckless driving calls were reported late morning near mile marker 225 on Highway 29, shortly before 1 p.m. near mile marker 206, and again late afternoon near County Highway T. In one incident, a caller reported a semi nearly ran another vehicle off the road.
Deputies also handled several traffic-related incidents. A property-damage crash was reported at Highways 29 and 45 near Wittenberg. Later in the evening, a personal injury crash occurred at County Highway Q and Pike Lake. Multiple disabled vehicles were reported throughout the day, including near Highway 47 and Hofa Park Road, Highway 47 and Old 47 Road, and Highway 29 and County Highway J.
Other activity included a warrant arrest in Cecil, another warrant pickup involving Sheboygan County, and an assist to fire crews at Nueske’s Applewood Meats in Wittenberg. Deputies responded to several 911 hang-up calls, a suspicious vehicle complaint, civil matters, and animal-related calls — including a deer struck by a vehicle that had to be dispatched.
In addition, authorities assisted with an adult protective placement at ThedaCare Medical Center.
