TIGERTON, WI – The Tigerton Tigers remain perfect on the season, improving to 19-0 and holding the number five spot in the latest Bound Wisconsin poll. Head coach Dan Hoffa credits his team’s success to staying focused, keeping their eyes on the ultimate goal, and not getting caught up in opponents or scoreboards.
Hoffa says every game carries weight, especially when it comes to postseason seeding. Even matchups outside their division can play a key role in strengthening their playoff resume. That focus paid off in a 66-41 victory over Amherst, a win Hoffa hopes will help when regional seeds are finalized.
Junior standout James Brady led the way with 34 points in the win and continues to anchor the Tigers’ dominant season. Brady is averaging nearly 25 points and 11 rebounds per game while shooting better than 67 percent from the field.
Tigerton as a team is averaging more than 76 points per contest while shooting nearly 49 percent from the floor. With balanced scoring, strong rebounding, and a defense that creates nearly 20 steals per game, the Tigers are not just winning, they are positioning themselves as a serious postseason contender as the playoffs approach.
