KESHENA, WI – It was a special night inside Menominee Nation High School on Tuesday Night as Kenew Awonohopay reached his 1,000th point on a emphatic dunk.
The Eagles never trailed from start to finish. Menominee Nation would force 13 Cardinals turnovers which turned into fast break points on the other end.
It was 36-23 at halftime with the Eagles being led by Awonohopay’s 18 first half points.
That momentum and the ruckus home crowd would will Menominee Nation to a win over the Cardinals 72-50.
Awonohopay finished with 33 points on the night.

Menominee Nation was led in scoring by Kenew Awonohopay with 33 and Anik Corn with 10.
Crandon was led in scoring by Logan Jaeger with 16 and Deegan Kircher with 14.
Menominee Nation improved to 11-9 with the win, Crandon dropped to 3-16 overall.
Menominee Nation’s next game will be Thursday (2/12) at Manawa.
