Lois M. Klaeser, age 95 of Clintonville, formerly of the Township of Grant, passed away on Monday evening, January 26, 2026 at Greentree Health and Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.
Lois Mae (Much) Klaeser was born July 16, 1930 in the Township of Union, Waupaca County, daughter to the late George J. & Anna E. (Hintz) Much. Her father passed away while she was very young, and Anna was later married to Stanley Johnson. Lois attended Marion schools and graduated from Marion High School. After graduation, Lois worked a few different jobs before she was united in marriage to Gary D. Klaeser on March 17, 1951, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion. After the couple were married, they settled in the Town of Grant, where they lived for over 60 years. As an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Caroline, Lois served on the Altar Guild, Ladies Aid, and also taught Sunday School and Bible class for many years.
Apart from being a stay at home mom and homemaker, she helped out at the family’s oil company answering the phone and taking orders when customers would call. Some of her favorite pastimes were reading, watching the Packer games and Nascar races on TV, listening to country music and gardening. She also liked to keep everything tidy and enjoyed cleaning and organizing. A great wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lois loved spending time with family, relaxing at their cabins in Big Falls, and Nelma, WI. She will be remembered for her servant’s heart, her faithfulness to the Lord, and the unconditional love shown to her family.
