On May 9, 1981, he married the former Barbara (Mitchell) Long. Together, they shared over 30 years of marriage. After many years of traveling and living in various states, Earl returned to the area in 2018 to be back home. His wife, Barbara, preceded him in death in 2017. An avid Green Bay Packers fan, Earl was a proud owner of shares in the team. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, fine dining, wine, reading, and cooking.
