SHAWANO, WI – A successful Giving Tuesday effort will translate into major support for local nonprofits, thanks to the generosity of Shawano County residents and the CoVantage Cares Foundation match.
Board member and CoVantage Credit Union representative Adam Gast says the community stepped up in a big way, contributing just over $9,000 to the campaign. With the CoVantage Cares match, that total climbed to more than $18,000, all of which will support United Way’s annual allocation process.
“The outpouring of support really made a direct impact,” Gast said, noting that every dollar raised helps strengthen critical programs throughout the region.
United Way Executive Director Uriah Williams says the strong campaign results mean more resources will stay local. “Right now, we’re set to give about $42,000 back out to nonprofits,” Williams said, crediting increased community engagement and consistent workplace campaigns for boosting the county’s overall fundraising success.
United Way will distribute funds to a wide range of Shawano-area organizations, continuing its mission to support essential services and community programs.
