Wittenberg-Birnamwood 56, Shiocton 3
Witt-Birn set the tone early, taking a 35-0 lead into halftime while holding the Chiefs without a field goal until the second half. Senior leaders Rory Salvesen and Melaina Granquist powered the Chargers’ offense, Salvesen scored a game-high 17 points with seven steals, while Granquist added 16 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double. Junior Ava Brei chipped in eight points, going a perfect 2-for-2 from the floor and 4-of-6 from the free-throw line.
Despite the loss, Shiocton’s Kayley Carpenter battled on the boards, pulling down eight rebounds, including five offensive. Freshman Natalie Young scored the Chiefs’ lone points, hitting a three in the second half.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood forced 36 turnovers and racked up 25 steals, overwhelming Shiocton on both ends while continuing their perfect start to the season.
Denmark 60, Coleman 19
Denmark controlled the game from the opening tip, building a 28–11 halftime lead before outscoring the Cougars 32–7 in the second half. Senior Kiarrah Micolichek led all scorers with 19 points, while junior Allie VanVonderen added 16 and senior Paige Vogel chipped in eight as the Vikings spread the scoring across their lineup.
Coleman, now 1–6 on the season, was led by senior Allie Gross with nine points and Alayna Gilbertson with six. Despite battling throughout, the Cougars struggled to keep pace with Denmark’s depth and scoring efficiency.
With the win, Denmark remains one of the top undefeated teams in the region as they continue their strong early-season surge.
Iola-Scandinavia 44, Weyauwega-Fremont 35
The Thunderbirds used a balanced offensive attack to secure the victory, with Charlotte Isermann and Katie Rosenthal each scoring 11 points and senior Ava Printz adding 10. Iola-Scandinavia also controlled key stretches defensively, winning the rebounding battle 36–34 and forcing 19 turnovers.
Weyauwega-Fremont was led by standout junior Elizabeth Koplien, who poured in 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while senior McKenna Ferg anchored the interior with 12 rebounds and four points. Despite a strong effort on the boards, the Warhawks struggled from the field, shooting just 24% and going 6-for-19 at the free throw line.
With the win, Iola-Scandinavia improves to 2–4, while Weyauwega-Fremont drops to 1–4 on the season.
Bonduel 53, Manawa 18
Bonduel controlled the game on both ends of the floor, led by senior Cierra Schnell’s 15 points and an efficient 6-for-10 shooting performance. Senior Mariah Wondra added 10 points, including two three-pointers, while senior Jayla Reinke anchored the glass with a team-high eight rebounds.
The Bears overwhelmed Manawa defensively, forcing 37 turnovers and holding the Wolves to just 16% shooting from the field. Manawa’s lone bright spot came from senior Abby Elmhorst, who scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds, while junior Zoe Ziemer pulled down 11 boards.
With the win, Bonduel improves to 6–1 on the season, while Manawa drops to 1–4.
New London 74, Green Bay East 19
The Bulldogs exploded offensively, putting up 45 first-half points and never looking back. Sophomore Sarah Daly led New London with 17 points, while junior Chesney Magolski added 15 and freshman Ella Grable chipped in 14, as the Bulldogs spread the scoring across their lineup.
New London paired its hot shooting with relentless defense, holding Green Bay East to just 19 total points and keeping the Red Devils winless on the season. East was led by juniors Jada Nelson and Taniyah Thomas, who each scored six points.
With the win, New London improves to 4–4, while Green Bay East falls to 0–5.
Pacelli 68, Wild Rose 29
Pacelli exploded for 49 points in the opening half, overwhelming the Wildcats early and controlling the game on both ends of the floor. Wild Rose was led by junior Alyson Henschel, who scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds, while sophomore Celia Christensen added 11 points and three boards.
Despite strong individual efforts, the Wildcats struggled with turnovers, giving the ball away 36 times, fueling Pacelli’s transition offense and preventing Wild Rose from gaining momentum. The Wildcats did find success on defense with 15 steals, but the Cardinals’ early scoring barrage proved too much to overcome.
Wild Rose falls to 4–4 on the year, while Pacelli improves to 3–1 as they continue to build momentum in the early stretch of their season.
Almond-Bancroft 67, Pittsville 52
Almond-Bancroft stayed hot on Friday night, powering past Pittsville 67–52 behind a dominant performance from senior standout Mya Dernbach.
Dernbach erupted for 39 points, shooting 12-of-20 from the field and 12-of-15 at the free-throw line, while also adding seven rebounds and four blocks in a well-rounded effort. The Eagles built momentum early and never let go, getting additional scoring from Aaliyah Newby with 11 points and Oakley Omernik with 8 points and 9 rebounds.
Pittsville entered the matchup on a four-game winning streak but struggled to slow Almond-Bancroft’s efficient offense and aggressive pressure, which generated 14 steals. The Eagles also capitalized at the line, knocking down 24 free throws to help seal the victory.
Almond-Bancroft improves to 5–1 on the season, while Pittsville drops to 5–2.
West De Pere 73, Pulaski 39
The Phantoms set the tone early with a 34-point first half and continued to pull away thanks to standout efforts from Clara Hoffman, who scored 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting, and Molly Walder, who added 14 points and two threes. Senior Alexa Rattray also chipped in 10 points and four assists as West De Pere shot an efficient 50% from the field and controlled the glass with 54 rebounds.
Pulaski was led by senior Olivia Sprangers with 10 points, while Linde Lemerond scored 7 and freshman Josey Shaw added 6, but the Red Raiders struggled to match the Phantoms’ pace and physicality.
With the win, West De Pere evens its record at 2–2, while Pulaski drops to 3–4.
