MENOMINEE INDIAN RESERVATION – Eight people were taken into custody Tuesday after law enforcement executed a search warrant at a residence in the South Branch area of the Menominee Indian Reservation.
According to the Menominee Tribal Police Department, the warrant was carried out on December 2 with assistance from Menominee Tribal Conservation officers and the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office. The operation followed a joint investigation between Tribal Police and the Sheriff’s Office.
Seven of the individuals were booked into the Menominee Tribal Jail, while one was transported to the Shawano County Jail. Authorities say charges related to illegal drugs and firearms will be forwarded to both Tribal and Federal prosecutors for review.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details were immediately released.
