Marion Boys Look to Turn the Corner Behind Returning Standouts
The Marion High School Boys Basketball Preview Spotlight is presented by Bay Bank with locations in Keshena and Green Bay.
The Marion Mustangs are coming off a tough 3–22 season, but with key players returning, the program expects noticeable improvement. All-conference talents Braylon Mielke and Nolan Wisnefsky are back to lead the charge.
Mielke, the team’s top scorer and rebounder last year at 9.4 points per game, brings toughness and athleticism, while Wesnefsky adds size and balance inside with 8.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
With more returners like Elijah Scheef and Shane Blum, Marion has the experience needed to take a step forward. Better shooting, cleaner possessions, and stronger defense will be the focus as the Mustangs aim to turn last year’s struggles into progress in the CWC North.
And with several players coming off a successful football season, Marion hopes that momentum carries over onto the basketball court.
