
David Evan Huebner, Jr., age 85, passed away on Monday November 17, 2025, in Shawano. David was born on October 23, 1940, in Town of Belle Plaine to the late David E. and Bernice Huebner, Sr. He proposed to Sandy Kohnke at her high school graduation and on September 16, 1964, David and Sandy were united in marriage at St. James Lutheran Church. David worked many different jobs including for the Ford garage in Clintonville as a mechanic, and as a sider and decker with the union, building homes. David loved all types of hunting and fishing, and he loved being outdoors in nature. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Wilderness.
David is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandy; children, Kenneth (Cindy) Huebner and Terresa Huebner; grandchildren, Jason (Jill) Weisenberg, Cheri (Al) Weier and Karalee (Mitchell) Meyer; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Casey, Kollins, Noah Audrey, Jack, Evan, Ava and Izak; and siblings, Joan Deminer, Betty (Lee) Muck, Beverly Muthig, Diane Hayer and Darwin Huebner. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
David is preceded in death by siblings, Melvin, Ardyce and Lorraine; brothers in infancy, Duane and Ronald; and parents, David, Sr., and Bernice.
A funeral service for David will be held at 11:00 am on Friday November 21, 2025, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of service.
