The 2025 North Eastern Conference football season belonged to Little Chute, as the Mustangs captured the conference championship and swept nearly every major individual award on this year’s All-Conference Team.
Junior standout Reece Joten emerged as the NEC’s most complete player, earning an unprecedented trio of honors: Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Offensive Back of the Year. Joten also shared Defensive Linebacker of the Year with Wrightstown’s Daniel Buntin and was named the conference’s Defensive Back of the Year, cementing his status as the league’s most dynamic two-way athlete.
Little Chute added to its award haul with Gavin McInnis being named Offensive Lineman of the Year, while teammate Noah Faccio claimed Defensive Lineman of the Year. Luxemburg–Casco’s Mason Trimberger earned Offensive Receiver of the Year and also landed a unanimous First-Team selection on defense.

The First Team featured a deep mix of playmakers across the conference:

Defensive playmakers including Buntin, Trimberger, Trevor Verhagen (Two Rivers), and Derek Klinkner (Two Rivers)
Several schools, Little Chute, Luxemburg–Casco, Wrightstown, Freedom, and Two Rivers, placed multiple starters on the First Team on both sides of the ball.
Second Team & Honorable Mention
The Second Team included strong performances from quarterbacks Jaden Hermsen (Little Chute) and Noah Shillcox (Two Rivers), as well as Denmark’s senior running back Steven Kielpikowski and Freedom’s rising sophomore Axzil Eggert. Defensively, players like Ryan Leahy (Wrightstown), Devon Wautlet (Denmark), and Mason Richter (Sheboygan Falls) anchored the Second Team unit.
Dozens more were recognized as Honorable Mention, highlighting the depth of talent across the NEC this season. Programs such as Denmark, Wrightstown, Freedom, and Sheboygan Falls were well represented behind multiple awards and honorable nods.
Coaching Awards
Little Chute’s success was recognized at the coaching level as well, with Mark Krommenacker earning NEC Head Coach of the Year, while Tom Runyon of Freedom was named Assistant Coach of the Year.
