Charles F. Goetsch, age 77, of Legend Lake, passed away Sunday evening, November 16, 2025, at The Cottages of Golden Pond Memory Care, Shawano, surrounded by his loving family.
Charles “Chuck” Franklin Goetsch was born on July 8, 1948, in Shawano, WI, son to the late Franklin & Esther (Fandrey) Goetsch. He attended school in Clintonville and later graduated with the class of 1966. He was united in marriage to Mary Dieck on January 18, 1969, at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Belle Plaine. Chuck worked at Kaukauna Cheese and retired in 2010 after 35 years with the company. Chuck and Mary moved to the Legend Lake area in 1993. The lake life was enjoyed by the family; Chuck liked ice fishing during the winter months, taking leisurely pontoon cruises with his family, and pulling them around the lake on the tube. He loved feeding and watching the wildlife. Chuck was a strong advocate for education and served on the Menominee School Board for 6 years. Chuck and Mary enjoyed traveling and taking bus trips. Chuck loved a good card game. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his limitless one-liners. One of his favorites was responding, “Thanks for the warning,” when someone said, “See you later.”
