Shawano police responded to a busy Sunday across the city, handling everything from noise complaints to a pedestrian accident and a fire call.
Around 12:30 a.m., officers were called to an apartment on South Lincoln Street, where a resident reported ongoing noise problems with a neighbor. The issue was resolved without further incident.
Just after 11:50 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to Charlie’s County Market on South Main Street for a pedestrian accident. Police say a man was struck in the parking lot. Officers and EMS responded, and the victim was treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
Later that afternoon, Shawano police were called to Qualheim’s True Value after a driver accidentally locked their keys — and their running vehicle — inside their SUV. Officers helped safely unlock the car.
The day’s most serious call came just before 6 p.m., when multiple units responded to a fire at 1225 South Park Street. Firefighters from several departments worked for hours to contain the blaze. No major injuries were reported, but crews remained on scene into the evening for cleanup and investigation.
Officers also handled reports of reckless driving on Highway 29, a stray cat on Mulberry Court, and assisted residents with fire alarms and welfare checks.
Clintonville police had a steady Sunday, responding to a mix of calls across the city.
Officers handled two 911 calls, one from 9th Street and another near Walnut and 18th, both resolved without major issues.
Crews were also dispatched to three ambulance calls throughout the day — including runs to Shaw Street, Anne Street, and 7th Street — assisting medical personnel where needed.
Animal concerns kept officers busy as well, with reports of loose or nuisance animals on Memorial Circle, 7th and North Lyons, and East 12th Street.
Police conducted several business checks overnight on South Main Street and Paulina Street, and added extra patrols around 13th and 15th Streets.
Later in the day, officers responded to a juvenile runaway report on 9th Street, along with a pair of welfare checks — one on South Main Street and another near Motor and 20th.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a variety of calls Sunday, including reports of theft, reckless driving, and a counterfeit bill.
Deputies were called early Sunday morning to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay to assist with an unruly patient, where a taser was drawn and the situation brought under control.
Later that morning, deputies responded to Lake Road in Bowler for cattle on the loose — a recurring problem in that area. Around 9:50 a.m., a hunter near Lessor–Navarino Road reported a stolen trailer hitch luggage rack, taken sometime the previous day.
A short time later, a wanted person was picked up on a warrant near County Highway HH and Pioneer Drive.
Deputies also handled a dog bite case at Prevea Clinic in Shawano, a lockout at the Wittenberg Dollar General, and several reports of reckless driving along Highway 29, including one near Limestone Passage and another west of Pulaski.
That afternoon, officers were called to the Ho-Chunk Casino in Wittenberg where two employees were allegedly caught on video using illegal drugs while on shift.
Sunday night, deputies investigated a counterfeit $10 bill reported by Pizza Hut on East Green Bay Street. The bill was passed to a delivery driver in Bonduel.
The day wrapped up with a car-versus-deer crash on Highway 45 near Cardinal Lane. No injuries were reported.
