Crivitz’s lone score came early, with senior quarterback Colten Tarmann connecting for a touchdown before the Wolverine offense was shut down by a tough St. Joseph defense. Coleman’s defense came up big Friday night as the Cougars held off Roncalli 12-7 to advance in the WIAA Level 2 playoffs. The Cougars jumped ahead early and never trailed, relying on a powerful ground game and tough defensive play to control the tempo. Junior running back Kolton Peters led the way with 100 rushing yards and a touchdown, while quarterback Cole Berth added 72 passing yards to keep Roncalli’s defense guessing. Bryce Seefeldt anchored Coleman’s defense with 10 tackles, including two for loss and a sack, as the Cougars limited the Jets to just one score in the second half. With the win, Coleman improves to 9-2 and moves one step closer to a state semifinal berth.
