Sheila M. Otto, age 74, of Shawano, began her journey to the Spirit World on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Sheila May was born December 10, 1950, in Keshena, a daughter to the late Bennett Jr. and Laverne (Schnoor) King. She attended school in Shawano, graduating with the Class of 1969. Following school, she moved to Manitowoc, where she worked at Mirro before eventually returning to the Shawano area. She was employed at Zwicker in Shawano and later retired after many dedicated years of working in finance at the Menominee Casino. In 1972, Sheila was united in marriage to Timothy Otto, and together they were blessed with six children. In 1985, they moved to the Otto family farm in Gresham, where they raised their family. Sheila enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and cooking. She loved watching the birds on the feeders and unwinding with one of her favorite television shows, from Law and Order to a variety of game shows. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she especially adored her snowmen decorations. She always made the holiday season magical and memorable for her family. She had a special place in her heart for all of the dogs throughout the years. Above all, family meant everything to her. Sheila cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her six children, Marni, Matthew, Melissa (Jesse), Rebecca (John), Geoff (Hannah), and Kevin (Katie); 14 grandchildren, Sutton “Dolly Girl,” Sedric “Buddy,” Morgan, Christine, Molly (Brandon), Hannah, Emma, Nikolaus, Sophia, Brody, Oaklynn, Haven, Tatum, and Kennedy; 9 great-grandchildren, Mariella, Charles, Grayson, Jude, Isaiah, Malcolm, Lilith, Gwendolyn, Eloise; Godchild, Rueben James King; and 12 siblings. She is further survived by her former husband, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sheila is preceded in death by three brothers and sisters; mother-in-law, Grandma Mae; and second mom, Sandy.
In keeping with Sheila’s wishes, private family services have been held. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers a memorial tree planted in Sheila’s name.
