The Shawano Police Department reported Officers picked up two people on outstanding warrants just after three a.m. at Sturgeon Park. Both individuals were taken into custody without incident.
A few hours later, Shawano Community Middle School reported hearing what sounded like gunshots around 6:50 that morning. Police checked the area but found no threats or signs of danger. Later that day, officers were back at the middle school for a separate incident involving a possible drug offense and another call related to juvenile issues.
Elsewhere in the city, officers responded to several vehicle complaints — including reckless driving near Airport Drive, a non-reportable crash in the Walgreens parking lot, and a hit-and-run dent in a parked car.
A medical call on East Stevens Street involved a 93-year-old woman who had fallen but was alert and breathing when help arrived. Another call came from Bellin Urgent Care for a patient bitten by a cat — the animal’s vaccinations were up to date.
Police also handled a disturbance where juveniles were reportedly fighting and recording the incident at Memorial Park.
Two separate protective custody calls were reported later in the evening — one involving a person who had taken pills, and another concerning a man expressing suicidal thoughts after days of drinking.
Shawano officers also responded to alarm activations, vehicle lockouts, and several 911 hang-ups throughout the day.
Clintonville Police handled a steady number of calls. Officers made several business checks overnight along Bennett Street, Sixth Street, and South Main Street, making sure businesses were secure during the early morning hours.
Police also conducted extra patrols at Pickerel Point Playground, Picnic Point, 20th Street, and later at Memorial Circle.
A lost and found item was reported at Memorial Circle just before three a.m.
During the day, officers assisted with school patrol duties along West Green Tree Road and handled traffic issues at South Main and West Madison Streets.
Police investigated an alcohol-related offense, a 911 hang-up, and a traffic stop — all on West Green Tree Road.
Later in the afternoon, a welfare check was conducted on West Campus Drive, and officers provided mutual aid on North Main Street.
Evening calls included a citizen assist on Flora Way, an ambulance call on Brix Street, and an animal complaint on Walnut Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a range of incidents. Deputies were called to a home on Sunrise Road in Gresham just before three a.m. for a house fire reported fully engulfed. Fire crews were on scene for several hours, and no injuries were reported.
Around the same time, a vehicle was found in a ditch near County Road M and Mulberry Lane in the Town of Birnamwood. No one was inside, but airbags had deployed.
Later in the morning, deputies assisted a Bowler resident with a medical lift assist for a hospice patient, and responded to reckless driving complaints along Highway 29 near Valley Road and again on Lake Drive in Shawano.
A civil dispute between neighbors in Bonduel involved property and well access rights, while deputies also oversaw eviction proceedings in Shawano and Southeast Township.
Throughout the afternoon, multiple traffic accidents were reported — including a car-deer crash on Swamp Road and a non-reportable accident near Highway 45 and County Road ZZ in Birnamwood.
That evening, deputies investigated a theft on East Willow Road in Birnamwood, where a man reported missing property following a dispute related to an eviction.
In total, the Sheriff’s Office logged 30 incidents for the day.
