Wayne A. P. Laux, age 78, of the Town of Dupont, passed away at his home early Saturday morning, October 18, 2025.
Wayne Anthony Paul Laux was born on September 12, 1947, to the late Richard E. and Elaine A. (Bessette) Laux in Appleton, WI. He grew up in one of the first log cabins built in the Appleton area, and went to school in Appleton, graduating from Appleton West High School in 1965. On July 1, 1967, he married Beverly Ann Vanden Bosch at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kaukauna, WI. The couple lived in multiple locations over the years including Little Chute, Kaukauna, and most recently Marion, for the last 20 years. Wayne was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville, and sang in the men’s choir. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus through the church. One of Wayne’s favorite pastimes was participating in old-time cowboy re-enactment shows, and in his later years he enjoyed watching cowboy shows on TV with his son Cody. He enjoyed hunting and going on fishing trips to Canada. Wayne always left a good impression on people. Lives were touched each time he met someone new, he did many things to help people in his life. Wayne had such a kind heart, that people would often compare him to Santa Claus, and his uncanny resemblance also helped with his Santa impression. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. “He will always be with us and in our hearts, the memories we have will always bring him back to us.”
