Seymour finished in 4th place at the Division 2 State Tournament at University Ridge in Madison. The Thunder wrapped up an impressive 2nd round with a 369.
Seymour carded an overall team score of 743, placing behind Colfax/Elk Mound and ahead of Wisconsin Dells. Spooner took home the team title with a score of 694, followed by Edgerton in second with a 696.
Leading the way for Seymour was Morgan Lewis (JR), who carded an 84 on Day 2 to finish tied for 8th individually. Lyla Schueler (SO) followed closely with a 83 on Day 2 to finish tied for 13th place, while Maci Heagle (SO) added a 98 on Day 2 to place 21st. Rounding out the Thunder’s scoring was Jaelyn Wenninger (SR) shooting a 104 on Day 2 to finish in 35th.

HORTONVILLE REPRESENTS AREA IN DIVISION 1
The Hortonville Polar Bears capped off the State Championship with a ninth-place finish at the WIAA Division 1 Girls Golf State Tournament, shooting a 734 as a team.
Leading the way for Hortonville was Olivia Kernen (SR), who shot a 91 in Round 2 to finish tied for 54th overall in a deep Division 1 field. Paige Clausen (SR) followed closely with an 91 in Round 2 for 56th place, while Maddy Stueber (FR) carded a 91 on Day 2 to finish in 59th. Hailey Cummings (SR) shot a 92 on Day 2 to finish in 61st. Tiamarie Diamond (JR) rounded out the Polar Bears scoring with a 97 on Day 2 to finish in 63rd.
