Shawano Police Department reported officers had a busy day responding to a wide range of calls across the city. It started around 8 a.m. when police were called to Highway 22 near Rose Brook Road for a report of a reckless driver in a white Toyota Tundra. The caller told dispatch the truck was swerving across lanes, but no crash was reported. A short time later, officers were called to South Lincoln Street where a German Shepherd puppy was running loose outside an apartment building. The owner wasn’t located, and the dog was later secured. Late in the morning, police responded to harassment and domestic disturbance complaints on South Lincoln Street involving two people who are known to officers. No major injuries were reported. Around lunchtime, officers assisted probation and parole agents on Green Bay Street with a warrant pickup, conducted two welfare checks—including one for a woman reported to be struggling with alcohol abuse—and handled a vehicle lockout at Best Wash. Later in the day, police investigated an abandoned dog complaint on South Lafayette Street and responded to a threatening call from the Walsh Dental Group on North Main Street after a dispute with a client. Other evening calls included harassment at IHOP, threats made on Riddington Avenue, and two K-9 deployments, one in town and another to assist Menominee County deputies. Just after 10 p.m., police handled a disorderly conduct case on Valley Lane, followed by a 911 call on West Fifth Street and several late-night welfare and suspicious activity checks into the early morning hours.
Clintonville Police Reported officers had a steady day of patrols and public safety checks across the city. Multiple extra patrols were conducted around Memorial Circle, 20th Street, and the area of West Green Tree Road for school safety. Just after one a.m., police stopped a vehicle near 7th Street and Klemp Road, followed by a report of suspicious activity on 7th Street and a disorderly conduct call on East Morning Glory Drive. Officers handled a traffic hazard on South Main and West Madison Street during the morning commute and later responded to an ambulance call on South Main. Throughout the afternoon, several paper services were completed on Lincoln Avenue, 10th Street, and Stewart Street. Police also assisted another agency on Lunz Road and investigated a lost-and-found case near West Madison and Bennett Streets. Traffic stops were made on Garfield Avenue and County Highway I, with patrols continuing into the evening.
Shawano County Sheriff’s Department reported two people failed to report to jail at the county’s work release center early Wednesday morning. Just after 6:30 a.m., officers responded to Highway 29 near County Trunk MMM for a sick deer that needed to be dispatched. Later that morning, deputies assisted firefighters with a test call on Highway 45. At 8 a.m., a report came in of a white pickup truck driving recklessly on Highway 22 near Rose Brook Road. A semi hauling a mobile home caused some trouble around 8:30 when it took down a power line along County Trunk MMM. No injuries were reported. Throughout the day, deputies handled several information and assistance calls, including a welfare check for a missing worker and a trespassing complaint in the Town of Wescott. That evening, a Shawano County resident turned himself in at the jail on an outstanding warrant, while other calls included multiple 911 hang-ups, disabled vehicles, and animal complaints. From the Stockbridge-Munsee Police, officers handled a found property report, a noise complaint, and a barking dog call in Gresham.
