The Shawano Police Department responded to a range of incidents Monday, including several welfare checks, school-related calls, and an assault report.
Just before 2 a.m., officers were called to the Sherwin-Williams parking lot on East Green Bay Street, where three juveniles were found sleeping inside a vehicle without an adult present. The situation was handled by multiple officers, and a juvenile matter report was filed.
Later in the morning, police took an assault report from a resident on West Fourth Street. The caller told officers that a woman who had been staying with him allegedly assaulted him the previous day and took personal items, including keys and a debit card. That case remains active and under investigation.
At Shawano Community High School, officers handled several truancy reports and a theft complaint, while at the middle school, police conducted a welfare check.
During the afternoon, Shawano police assisted Menominee Tribal Police with an uncooperative subject at ThedaCare Medical Center and later assisted the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office at CoVantage Credit Union.
Other calls included a found wallet turned in at People’s Express South, a report of a yellow three-wheeler creating a traffic hazard on East Richmond Street, and several welfare checks throughout the day — including one at the Kwik Trip on East Green Bay Street and another on West Division Street late in the evening.
Clintonville Police handled a mix of traffic, disturbance, and welfare calls throughout the day on Monday.
The day began just after midnight with a traffic stop on Highway 45 near County Highway C, followed by an ambulance call to Garfield Avenue and a harassment complaint on East 2nd Street. Officers also responded to a disorderly conduct incident on Lincoln Avenue around 3:00 a.m.
During the morning, police dealt with an ordinance violation on 9th Street, a 911 call from South Main, and a reported tobacco problem on West Green Tree Road. Around 12:30 p.m., officers checked on a suspicious person on West 13th Street, followed by a minor vehicle crash on South Main Street about 20 minutes later.
Later in the evening, police investigated multiple reports of suspicious people on South Clinton Avenue and Auto Street, along with a threatening complaint on Lincoln Avenue and a harassment call on South Clinton.
Officers also assisted other agencies on Highway 45 and Zeuske Road and conducted extra patrols at a local school on West Green Tree Road.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled more than thirty calls for service on Monday, October 6th, with a range of incidents from drug arrests to animal complaints and domestic disputes.
Deputies were called out early Monday morning to Highway 32 and County Trunk E in Oconto County for a drug-related traffic stop. One person was taken into custody following the discovery of suspected narcotics.
Later that morning, deputies responded to a report of lost property at the Bonduel Kwik Trip after a traveler reported losing more than six hundred dollars in cash.
Around eight o’clock, a suspicious person was reported on County Trunk M near Shawano, where a homeowner said a young man had tampered with their mailbox and left a pair of headphones on top.
In Tigerton, a disturbance was reported at the elementary school Monday afternoon involving a juvenile student. That case remains under investigation.
Deputies also handled an animal bite report on Roosevelt Road in the Town of Seneca, along with several 9-1-1 hang-ups and welfare checks throughout the day.
In Gresham, officers were called just after ten p.m. for a domestic disturbance on Fischer Street. Deputies remained on scene late into the night.
The Stockbridge-Munsee Police Department logged six additional calls Monday, including a drug investigation in the Village of Gresham and an ambulance assist later in the evening.
