Shawano Police had a busy Thursday, responding to a wide range of calls across the city. Just after midnight, officers were called to Sturgeon Park for a park violation, and later assisted a woman on South Washington Street who had fallen from her bed and needed help getting up.
Around 2:30 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Oak Court after loud music was reported coming from a parked vehicle. Not long after, officers checked on a welfare concern at an East Richmond Street apartment.
By mid-morning, police were called to the department itself for a reported drug offense, while another officer helped unlock a vehicle outside Aldi on East Green Bay Street. Later in the day, a man on South Washington reported his daughter’s bicycle stolen again—the second time in a month.
Officers also responded to a theft of money from a wallet on East Randall Street, a disturbance involving a man yelling aggressively at a woman on West Green Bay Street, and a suspicious call after a tracker was reportedly found on a vehicle during an oil change.
Other calls included multiple welfare checks at local schools, assistance to ambulance crews at the Odisha House of Rest, a minor crash at Charlie’s County Market, and a trespassing complaint at Hillcrest Primary School.
The Shawano Police Department also assisted Waupaca County deputies with a case on South Hamlin Street.
Clintonville Police responded to a steady mix of calls. Officers conducted numerous overnight business checks across Commercial, Main, Industrial, and Summer Streets to ensure properties were secure.
Several 911 calls came in throughout the day, including reports from Industrial Avenue, Flora Circle, and later in the afternoon on Garfield Avenue.
Around midday, police investigated a hit-and-run on Spring Street, followed shortly by a property damage complaint on North Main.
That evening, fire crews were called to West Morning Glory Drive at Camelia Court, while officers also conducted a traffic stop near South Main and County Highway I.
Extra patrols were later carried out at Pickerel Point Playground and Picnic Point.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled 24 calls for service. Deputies responded to multiple 911 hang-ups, traffic hazards, and a civil dispute in Cecil involving trash being left in the right-of-way. In Shawano, an animal complaint was logged after a dog was reported barking and running loose.
A vehicle fire broke out on East Main Street in Bowler just after one o’clock in the afternoon. Crews responded quickly, and no injuries were reported. Later in the day, deputies investigated a report of illegal gambling after a caller claimed slot machines at a local gas station were paying out cash.
A warrant arrest was also made when a 31-year-old man turned himself in at the sheriff’s office. Deputies additionally handled a trespassing case in Cecil, an incident of suspicious activity near a playground, and a dog bite involving an Amazon delivery driver in Bonduel.
In the evening hours, deputies were called to a domestic disturbance on Old Keshena Road. That case resulted in an arrest. Crews also cleared a traffic crash with injuries on County Trunk U in Shawano.
Meanwhile, the Stockbridge-Munsee Police Department logged four incidents Thursday. That included two harassment complaints—one at Bowler School and another on Moh He Con Nuck Road—along with a vehicle lockout and an alarm call in Gresham.
