The visiting Dons put on a show on the road in Plainfield on Monday, putting 6 on the Penguins.
With the loss, Tri-County drops to 1-8-1 overall and 0-7 in the conference. Columbus Catholic improves to 12-2-1 overall and 7-0 in the CW-8.
Amherst 7, Newman Catholic 0
The Falcons and the Fighting Cardinals did battle on Monday and it was Amherst winning by a touchdown and a extra point over Newman Catholic. Amherst scored 6 in the 1st half and 1 in the 2nd half to pull away early. Ayden Kazda had a hat trick for the Falcons.
With the win, Amherst improves to 9-2-2 overall and 7-1 in the conference. Newman Catholic drops to 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the CW-8.
Pacelli 6, Gresham/Bowler 3
The Cardinals and the Cats were locked in a good one with Pacelli taking the match in the end. Offense was #1 in this game with 9 goals scored combined. It was 1-0 Pacelli at half, then the 2nd half exploded with Gresham/Bowler scoring 3 and Pacelli scoring 5.
With the loss, Gresham/Bowler drops to 0-12 overall and 0-2 in the CW-8. Pacelli improves to 3-8 overall and 2-5 in the conference.

Winnebago Lutheran 5, Clintonville 1
The Truckers lost a home non-conference match to the visiting Vikings 5-1 on Monday night. WLA got 2 goals in the 1st half and then another 3 in the 2nd to pull away from Clintonville. The Truckers lone goal came in the 2nd half.
With the loss, Clintonville drops to 5-5-1. Winnebago Lutheran improves to 9-6 overall.
Ashwaubenon 3, Seymour 2
The Thunder lost a home non-conference game to the Jaguars. Ashwaubenon led 2-0 at half but the Thunder fought back, scoring 2 goals of their own in the 2nd to tie but Ashwaubenon got 1 more to put the game away and seal the road win.
With the loss, Seymour drops to 2-10-2 overall and Ashwaubenon improves to 5-8 overall.
Girls Volleyball
Port Edwards 3, Northland Lutheran 0
(25-15, 25-22, 25-20)
The Blackhawks flew high to Mosinee and came away with a sweep of the Wildcats in straight sets. It was back and forth the entire night but it was the visitors in the end, taking the match 3-0.
With the win, Port Edwards improves to 6-10 overall and Northland Lutheran drops to 6-6 overall.

The Tri-County Penguins went to Mauston on Monday for a quick triangular. Results below:
Portage 2, Tri-County 0

The Penguins lost their 1st match of the afternoon to the Warriors in straight sets. Natalie Rasmussen had 5 kills for Tri-County as the Penguins could not out hit the Warriors .243 during the match.
Mauston 2, Tri-County 0
(22-25, 17-25)
The Penguins had their final match of the afternoon against the host Golden Eagles and it was a fight for the Penguins again but they came up short in both sets.
After a 0-2 Monday at Mauston, Tri-County sits at 7-14 on the season.
