Shawano 3, Xavier 1
The battle of the Hawks at Shawano went to the home team as Shawano put up 2 goals in the 2nd half to pull away from the visiting Hawks Thursday night for a homecoming win.
Kody Kopelka had 2 goals for Shawano, the other was score by Connor Boucher for Shawano. Xavier’s lone goal came from Bryce Neilitz in the 1st half.
With the win, Shawano improves to 10-2-1 overall and 4-1 in the Bay. Xavier drops to 10-5-2 overall and 3-1-2 in the conference.
Menasha 5, Winneconne 2
The Bluejays flew high to win over the Wolves on the road, putting 5 into the back of the net. Menasha scored 4 in the 1st half to secure the win.
With the win, Menasha improved to 5-5 overall and 3-3 in the Bay. Winneconne drops to 3-6 overall and 2-4 in the Bay.
Fox Valley
#3 Hortonville 3, Oshkosh West 0
It was a road victory for the Polar Bears on Thursday night in Oshkosh, Hortonville got 2 goals in the 1st half and never looked back, shutting out the Wildcats.
Goal scorers for Hortonville were Cade Mansfield, Caleb Schewe and Roman Glad.
With the win, Hortonville stays undefeated at 13-0-1 and 6-0-1 in the FVA. Oshkosh West drops to 3-6-1 overall and 2-5 in the FVA.
Central Wisconsin-8
Amherst 2, Tri-County 0
The Falcons flew high in the 2nd half of Thursday’s contest with the Penguins. It was scoreless at half but Blake Wendlandt and Ayden Kazada made sure that Amherst was going to win by scoring in the 2nd half to defeat Tri-County on home field.
With the win, Amherst improves to 8-2-1 overall and 6-1 in the conference. Tri-County drops to 1-6-1 overall and 0-6 in the CW-8.
South Central
Adams-Friendship 1, Wild Rose/Wautoma 0
The Green Devils came away with a 1-0 victory on the road defeating the Co-Op 1-0. Jameson Nawrot was the goal scorer for A-F.
With the loss, Wautoma/Wild Rose drops to 1-7-1 overall and 0-4-1 in the South Central. Adams-Friendship improves to 7-3-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
Fox River Classic Conference
#24 De Pere 1, Green Bay Preble 0
The Redbirds and Hornets did battle at the nest Thursday evening and it was the ranked De Pere squad escaping with a 1-0 win. De Pere had 12 corner kicks to Preble’s 0. Maxim Skurka had the lone goal for De Pere.
With the win, De Pere improved to 7-3-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the FRCC. Green Bay Preble drops to 6-4-2 overall and 2-1-1 in the FRCC.
Non-Conference
Algoma 3, Denmark 0
The Wolves were on the hunt for a road win and that’s what they got, shutting out Denmark on the road. Algoma got 1 in the 1st half and 2 in the 2nd half to pull away for the shutout victory.
With the home loss, Denmark drops to 4-6 overall and Algoma improves to 5-2-1.
Little Chute 5, Campbellsport 2
The Mustangs were running wild down in Campbellsport, scoring goals left and right with 2 goals in the 1st and 3 in the 2nd. Little Chute had 9 corner kicks during the match. Junior Asher Buck had 4 goals for Little Chute. Elijah Driessen had a goal as well.
Little Chute improves to 1-9, getting their 1st win of the season. Campbellsport drops to 0-9.
Marinette 2, Roncalli 2
The Marines and the Jets played to a draw at Roncalli. Marinette got 2 goals in the 2nd half to work to a draw. The Jets scored a goal in each half. Liam Closchey and Hunter Schneider scored for Marinette.
Marinette sits at 7-3-1 on the season. Roncalli sits at 2-5-4 on the season.
Kiel 2, Wrightstown 0
The Raiders got a road victory for Wrightstown on Thursday night, scoring a goal in each half to pull out a 2-0 win.
With the loss, Wrightstown drops to 5-6-1 overall and Kiel improves to 5-7-2.
Freedom 3, Ashwaubenon 2
The Irish and the Jaguars were locked in a good one in Green Bay on Thursday evening. Sawyer Rueckl had 2 goals for Freedom and Cal Calhoon added a goal as well as the Irish came away with the road win. Gavin Brennenstuhl had 10 saves in net for Freedom in the 80 minutes.
With the win, Freedom improves to 9-1-2 and Ashwaubenon drops to 4-8 overall.
Bay Port 7, Luxemburg-Casco 0
The Bay Port Pirates football team plays tonight but it was the soccer team scoring a touchdown on the Spartans on the road during Thursday night’s contest. Bay Port was up 2-0 at half then added on 5 more to extend their lead.
With the loss, Lux-Casco drops to 4-6-1 overall and Bay Port improves to 9-2-1.
Pulaski 3, Beaver Dam 0
The Golden Beavers took the long trip up to Northeast Wisconsin to take on the Red Raiders but it was to no avail as Pulaski shut out Beaver Dam 3-0 on home turf. AJ Schenk, Josh Aranda and Colin Tackmier all had goals for Pulaski.
With the win, Pulaski improves to 5-4-3. Beaver Dam drops to 2-10 overall.
Rhinelander 0, Waupaca 0
The Hodags and Comets played to a scoreless draw on Thursday evening in Waupaca. The Comets put 13 shots on goal but could not muster one to go in. Gavin Crenshaw in goal for the Comets had 7 saves against the Hodags.
Rhinelander now sits at 0-8-2 overall and Waupaca is now 1-6-1.
West De Pere 3, Seymour 0
The Thunder and the Phantoms went at it in a non-conference battle and it was all West De Pere at home, blanking the Thunder 3-0.
With the win, West De Pere improves to 5-4 overall and Seymour drops to 2-9-2.
