De Pere 26, Ashwaubenon 3
De Pere used a dominant second quarter to take control and never looked back in a 26-3 home victory over Ashwaubenon on Thursday night.
Ashwaubenon struck first, getting a 34-yard field goal from senior kicker Tyler Brunette in the opening quarter to go up 3-0. But the Jaguars’ offense stalled from there, while the Redbirds heated up before halftime.
De Pere senior quarterback Holden Woodfill led the charge, throwing for 178 yards and a touchdown on 13-of-23 passing. His favorite target was Sam Robb, who hauled in seven catches for 109 yards and a score. On the ground, senior back Caden Schampers added 48 rushing yards and a touchdown to help balance the attack.
The Redbirds scored 17 points in the second quarter alone, capped by Robb’s receiving touchdown, to take a commanding 17-3 lead at halftime. They added a field goal in the third and another touchdown in the fourth to seal the win.
De Pere’s defense set the tone all night, forcing three interceptions and recording three sacks. Andrew Stiles was a standout with seven tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks.
Ashwaubenon quarterback Sawyer Walton finished 12-of-23 for 95 yards but was intercepted three times. Keegan Volk was the Jaguars’ top playmaker with four catches for 57 yards, while Carter Brunette led the defense with seven tackles. Both teams are now 2-2 on the season.
#2 West De Pere 50, Green Bay Preble 14
The West De Pere Phantoms showed why they’re ranked No. 2 in the state, putting together a dominant offensive display in a 50-14 road win over Green Bay Preble on Thursday night.
The Phantoms (4-0) wasted no time, exploding for 20 points in the first quarter and building a 36-0 halftime lead. Quarterback Patrick Greisen was nearly unstoppable, completing 28 of 35 passes for 434 yards and four touchdowns.
Junior receiver Darian Acevedo-Ortiz was his top target, hauling in seven catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns, including a 78-yard strike. On the ground, senior back Ryan Lutz added 37 rushing yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries, keeping the offense balanced.
West De Pere’s defense did its part as well, forcing two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown and recording two sacks. Jake Rodewald led the way with seven tackles.
Preble (2-2) was shut out in the first half before breaking through with a touchdown in each of the final two quarters. But by then, the Phantoms’ early surge had already put the game out of reach.
Pulaski 48, Green Bay Southwest 13
Pulaski’s ground game overwhelmed Green Bay Southwest on Thursday night, powering the Red Raiders to a 48-13 win at home.
The Red Raiders (3-1) exploded out of the gates, scoring 21 points in the first quarter and adding 20 more in the second to take a commanding 41-0 halftime lead. Their rushing attack was unstoppable, piling up 329 yards and six touchdowns on just 34 carries, an average of nearly 10 yards per attempt.
Senior Gavin Sikorski led the charge with 88 rushing yards and a touchdown on only three carries, while junior quarterback Bruno Gajeski was a perfect 4-for-4 through the air for 37 yards. Senior Calan Bock added two catches for 33 yards, keeping the offense balanced despite the run-heavy approach.
Pulaski also made big plays on special teams, highlighted by a 61-yard punt return touchdown, helping to extend the early lead. Defensively, Cole Nowak paced the unit with three tackles, including a tackle for loss.
Southwest (0-4) broke through in the second half, scoring once in the third quarter and again in the fourth, but the Fighting Trojans couldn’t recover from Pulaski’s first-half barrage.

Tri-County 70, Wild Rose 12
Tri-County continued its dominant start to the season with another explosive offensive performance, rolling past Wild Rose 70-12 on Friday night.
The Penguins (4-0) piled up an incredible 639 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on just 32 carries, averaging 20 yards per attempt. Senior Aidan Brewer led the charge, rushing for 263 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries, including an 85-yard score.
Tri-County built a 22-0 lead after the first quarter and stretched it to 52-6 by halftime, putting the game out of reach early. Even with a quieter second half, the Penguins still added 18 more points to secure their fourth straight win of the season.
The defense was just as dominant, forcing four interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown and holding Wild Rose without a passing yard. Senior Jake Makaryk was a standout, racking up 10 tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack, and an interception.
Wild Rose (1-3) managed to score a touchdown in the second and third quarters but couldn’t slow down Tri-County’s relentless rushing attack.
The victory marks another lopsided win for Tri-County, who has now outscored opponents 284-46 through four games.
#5 Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas 44, #8 Sevastopol 20
The Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas co-op stayed unbeaten and picked up its biggest win of the season Friday night, defeating No. 8-ranked Sevastopol 44-20 at home.
The Wildcats (4-0) came out firing, racing to a 22-8 first-quarter lead behind a powerful rushing attack. By halftime, Lena/STAA had stretched the advantage to 38-14, and despite being held scoreless in the fourth quarter, their early dominance proved more than enough.
Senior Max Peterson led the way on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries, while defensively he added eight tackles and a 40-yard interception return.
In total, Lena/STAA pounded out 309 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 59 attempts, wearing down Sevastopol’s defense.
The Pioneers (3-1) kept battling, scoring in three different quarters, but couldn’t keep pace with the Wildcats’ early surge.
The victory gives Lena/STAA its fourth straight win to open the season, continuing a dominant run in which they’ve outscored opponents 168-22.
Newman Catholic 22, Niagara 14
Niagara quarterback Brayden Bartels tried to spark a comeback, throwing for 133 yards and two touchdowns, including a 44-yard strike to Owen Dunkes in the fourth. Bartels also led the Badgers in rushing with 64 yards on 24 carries.
Sophomore Connor Guardiola anchored the Niagara defense with a team-high nine tackles, while the unit also forced a turnover on an interception.
The win keeps Newman Catholic rolling, while Niagara looks to bounce back and get back above .500 next week.

11-Man action on Friday:
Coleman 70, Clintonville 0
Coleman left no doubt on Friday night, exploding for 36 first-quarter points and cruising to a 70-0 road win over Clintonville.
The Cougars (3-1) were dominant in every phase, racking up 340 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on just 27 carries. Sophomore Zach Ziemer needed only three touches to reach 102 yards and two touchdowns, including a 44-yard score. Senior Cole Berth was efficient under center, completing his only pass for a seven-yard touchdown to Michael Nowak.
Coleman’s defense was just as overwhelming, holding Clintonville (0-4) to -15 rushing yards and forcing two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown. The Cougars also blocked a kick and controlled special teams with over 400 kickoff yards.
By halftime, Coleman had built a commanding 56-0 lead.
Denmark 22, Two Rivers 16
The Denmark Vikings leaned on their ground game and timely defense Friday night, fending off a late push from Two Rivers to secure a 22-16 home victory.
Senior Steven Kielpikowski carried the load for Denmark (2-2), rushing 28 times for 210 yards and two touchdowns. Junior quarterback Jayden Binsfeld provided balance, completing 8 of 13 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown, including a 76-yard strike to Tommy Bienapfl.
Two Rivers (0-4) showed fight behind senior quarterback Noah Shillcox, who threw for 284 yards and two touchdowns on 21 completions. His top target, Kole Klein, hauled in eight catches for 102 yards, while senior Max Matthias added 52 yards on the ground.
The Purple Raiders pulled within one score in the fourth quarter, but Denmark’s defense, led by Carson Yahnke’s 6.5 tackles, came up with the stops needed to seal the win.
#7 Kimberly 49, Fond du Lac 21
Junior running back Maddux Hermus sparked the surge, rushing for 108 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries. Senior quarterback Cam Wong was nearly perfect through the air, completing 7 of 8 passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Alex Lom led the receiving corps with 44 yards.
Fond du Lac (2-2) managed to find the end zone late, with Mason Henschel rushing for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Junior quarterback De’Andre Williamson Jr. added a 127-yard passing performance, connecting with Adrian Johnson for a 90-yard night and a score.
But Kimberly’s balanced attack, 221 rushing yards, 122 passing yards, and a defense led by Logan Clavijo’s 6.5 tackles, was too much down the stretch. The Papermakers also capitalized on two Fond du Lac turnovers to put the game out of reach.
#1 Winneconne 52, Sheboygan Falls 6
The top-ranked Winneconne Wolves continued their dominant start to the season with a 52-6 home win over Sheboygan Falls on Friday night.
Winneconne (4-0) wasted no time, exploding for 35 first-quarter points and adding 14 more in the second to put the game away by halftime. Senior quarterback Brody Schaffer once again led the charge, completing 8-of-10 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 86 yards and two more scores on just five carries.
Junior Ryan Quigley provided the highlight through the air with a 63-yard touchdown reception, while the Wolves’ defense held Sheboygan Falls (0-4) scoreless until the fourth quarter. Louie Carroll paced the defense with five tackles, and the Wolves added an interception and 33 total tackles in a strong all-around performance.
Winneconne piled up 252 rushing yards and 181 passing yards, outgaining Sheboygan Falls 433-0 in total offense.
Luxemburg-Casco 21, #8 Wrightstown 3
Luxemburg-Casco stayed unbeaten with a strong second-half surge, defeating Wrightstown 21-3 on Friday night in a battle of NEC contenders.
The Spartans (4-0) jumped ahead in the first quarter when quarterback Eli Derenne capped a drive with a rushing touchdown. Wrightstown (3-1) managed to stay within striking distance thanks to a third-quarter field goal, but Luxemburg-Casco’s defense controlled the game, holding the Tigers to just 18 passing yards and no touchdowns.
Derenne led the way for the Spartans, throwing for 102 yards on 8-of-11 passing and rushing for 88 yards and a score. His top target was Tatem Klaubauf, who hauled in five catches for 65 yards. Defensively, Mason Trimberger paced Luxemburg-Casco with eight tackles.
Wrightstown’s offense leaned on quarterback Daniel Buntin, who rushed for 65 yards but found little room in the passing game. Isaac Hendricks anchored the Tigers’ defense with eight tackles and a sack.
With the win, Luxemburg-Casco keeps pace at the top of the NEC standings, while Wrightstown drops to 3-1 after suffering its first defeat of the season.
Neenah 35, Kaukauna 7
Neenah used a dominant middle stretch to pull away from Kaukauna, earning a 35-7 victory Friday night to improve to 3-1 on the season.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Rockets exploded for 15 points in the second and 13 more in the third to take full control. Quarterback Ashton VanBeek fueled the attack, throwing for 97 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 151 yards and a score on 18 carries. His big-play ability kept the Ghosts’ defense on its heels all night. Cole Schaefer led the receiving corps with two catches for 53 yards and a touchdown.
Kaukauna (1-3) got on the board in the fourth quarter behind quarterback Ryan Carrel, who completed 18 of 31 passes for 236 yards and a touchdown. Senior wideout Kavanaugh Weyenberg was his go-to target, hauling in 11 receptions for 132 yards. Defensively, Wyatt Romenesko recorded 10 tackles to pace the Ghosts.
Shawano 15, New London 12
Shawano picked up its first win of the season Friday night, rallying past New London 15-12 in a tight Bay Conference matchup.
The Hawks (1-3) fell behind early as New London scored touchdowns in each of the first two quarters to take a 12-3 halftime lead. But Shawano stormed back in the third quarter with a Marcus Brezgel rushing touchdown and a field goal to move in front, then added another late field goal in the fourth to seal the comeback.
Brezgel carried the load on the ground with 91 yards on 23 attempts and a score, while quarterback Aiden Rasmussen threw for 88 yards. Austin Heling was the top target with seven catches for 61 yards.
New London (0-4) had strong moments offensively behind quarterback Cory Brooker, who went 10-of-17 for 152 yards and two touchdowns, both to Brett Marquardt, who finished with 82 yards receiving. But turnovers hurt the Bulldogs, as Shawano’s defense came up with two interceptions to help preserve the victory.
#6 Fox Valley Lutheran 45, Waupaca 9
Fox Valley Lutheran kept its perfect season rolling with a dominant 45-9 victory over Waupaca on Friday night in Appleton.
The Foxes (4-0) set the tone early, exploding for 21 points in the first quarter and another 21 in the second to build a commanding 42-3 halftime lead. Quarterback Gabe Heiges was the centerpiece of the attack, throwing for 143 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 85 yards and a score. Running back Blessings Kapande powered the ground game with 131 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. In the air, Jacoby Dobberstein caught six passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns.
Waupaca (0-4) found some offense in the second half behind sophomore quarterback Wyatt Buenning, who threw for 42 yards and a touchdown, connecting with Westen Lauritzen on the score. Senior Kanye Bessman anchored the Comets’ defense with nine tackles.
Little Chute 17, #7 Freedom 7
Little Chute handed Freedom its first loss of the season Friday night, grinding out a 17-7 road win in a physical NEC showdown.
The Mustangs (3-1) jumped ahead quickly with 10 first-quarter points before adding another touchdown in the second to lead 17-0 at halftime. Quarterback Jaden Hermsen played a key role, rushing for 53 yards and a touchdown while also throwing for 39 yards. Running back Reece Joten carried 19 times for 69 yards to help control the ground game. Defensively, Kaden Hoffman stood out with seven tackles, including four for loss and a sack.
Freedom (3-1) tried to rally in the third quarter as Nixon Heinke punched in a short touchdown run, but the Irish couldn’t generate enough on the ground, finishing with just 13 rushing yards as a team. Quarterback Owen Henkel threw for 167 yards, with Nolan Phillips leading the receiving corps at 55 yards.
The Mustangs’ defense was the difference, racking up 12 tackles for loss and limiting Freedom’s rushing attack all night.
