SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano Hawks battled early, but were swept by Winneconne on Thursday (25-18, 25-18, 25-15).
The Hawks will get ready to host their own Abby Tuma Invitational on Saturday.
Members of the Emergency teams in Shawano got a chance to be recognized by Shawano Hawks Volleyball team on Thursday. The night was dedicated to thank emergency response officials, including police, fire, EMS and others.
Those individuals were called out on the floor and gratitude was shown by the team and the crowd as a remembrance of 9-11. The Volleyball team gave each member a small volleyball as a token of their appreciation. Emergency personnel got to be on the floor for the National Anthem and got to attend the match against Winneconne for free.
