Clintonville Truckers
The Truckers are looking to regroup after a tough 54-6 loss to Ripon in Week 2. Senior quarterback Zachary Johnson accounted for the team’s only score with a 17-yard touchdown run and also threw for 64 yards. Johnson’s top target was junior Payton Sanford, who caught all four of his completions for 64 yards. On defense, Jayden Ebert paced the team with 8.5 tackles and a sack. For Clintonville, success hinges on finding offensive consistency, sustaining drives, and turning yards into points.
Shiocton Chiefs
Shiocton showed plenty of fight last week but came up just short in a 17-14 loss at Southern Door. Junior quarterback Kyle Bergsbaken led the rally, throwing for 108 yards on 14-of-19 passing with a touchdown strike to Brett Singler, who finished with six catches for 81 yards. Bergsbaken also added a rushing touchdown to tie the game in the fourth quarter. The Chiefs leaned on Wyatt Hess, who chipped in 27 yards on the ground, but three costly interceptions prevented Shiocton from completing the comeback. Despite the loss, the Chiefs’ balanced attack and defensive effort showed promise moving forward.
