SHAWANO, WI – The rides and midway may grab plenty of attention, but one of the most popular stops at the Shawano County Fair is the 4-H Building, and this year it’s been extra special for Olivia Danley, Shawano’s 2025 Fairest of the Fair. Danley, a Clintonville native, says the building highlights the heart of the fair experience, from youth projects to community pride.
“It is absolutely amazing, this building is one of my favorites, and the creativity is unimaginable and amazing” Danley added.
Her journey won’t stop here, as she will represent Shawano County at the Wisconsin Fairest of the Fair competition in January.
Speaking of Wisconsin Fairest of the Fair, this year, Wisconsin’s Fairest of the Fair, Megan Salentine, made her way to Shawano to meet with visitors and take in the festivities. She says the experience is unlike anything else, and it’s a role she’s been honored to hold.
“I love seeing all the diversity of all the Wisconsin Fair history and all the people and passion involved” said Salentine.
Salentine’s reign will soon come to a close as she prepares to crown her successor this January, when a new state Fairest of the Fair will be chosen.
