SHAWANO, WI – A Shawano man will spend three decades in prison for his role in two fentanyl overdose deaths and years of drug trafficking in the region.
Lee E. Lindner, 38, was sentenced to 30 years of initial confinement and 17 years of extended supervision after pleading guilty to multiple drug-related charges, including two counts of first-degree reckless homicide.
Prosecutors say Lindner conspired with at least six others between January and June 2023 to distribute more than 100 grams of fentanyl in Shawano County and surrounding areas. Investigators also linked him to the distribution of “large amounts” of methamphetamine from 2019 to 2023.
Court documents show two fentanyl deliveries led directly to fatal overdoses: one on April 27, 2023, on the Menominee Indian Reservation, and another on May 17, 2023.
