Bay Conference Mega Meet #2 – Golden Sands GC
The Seymour Thunder continued their strong start to the season, running away with the team title at the Bay Mega-Meet 2 on Tuesday at Golden Sands Golf Course. Seymour fired a team score of 181, well ahead of runner-up Shawano’s 207. Fox Valley Lutheran and Bonduel tied for third at 216.
On the individual leaderboard, Shawano senior Madelyn Moesch led the field with a round of 41, the lone golfer to finish under par for nine holes. Seymour answered with depth, as Morgan Lewis (43), Maci Heagle (44), and Ava Skenadore (46) all placed in the top five. Sophomore Lyla Schueler (48) and senior Jaelyn Wenninger (54) rounded out the Thunder’s scoring to secure the convincing win.
Oconto freshman Lacey Sikora impressed with a 46, tying for fourth place, while Fox Valley Lutheran senior Elliot Kriewaldt matched that mark to help lift the Foxes into the top three.
Other strong area finishes included Saint Mary Catholic’s Olivia Nagel (47), Bonduel’s Paige Wolf (50), and Winneconne’s Mia Rust (52).
With the win, Seymour showed both balance and consistency, placing four golfers inside the top eight on the leaderboard.
FRCC – Mini Meet #1 – Riverdale CC – Sheboygan
Bay Port made a statement to open the FRCC season Tuesday at Riverdale Country Club, running away with the team title at 324, while Pulaski showed balance in its lineup on the way to a sixth-place finish at 401.
The Pirates had four golfers inside the top seven, led by Myah Johnson’s 76 for runner-up honors. Madelyn Gicius (79) and freshman Avi Johnson (83) kept Bay Port firmly in control, with Payton Dudra (86) and Eva Kentop (88) rounding out a deep and talented lineup. Bay Port’s ability to post consistent scores across the board left little doubt they’ll be the team to beat in the FRCC.
Pulaski, meanwhile, leaned on its underclassmen. Sophomore Taylor Murphy fired a 93 to pace the Red Raiders, tying for 17th overall. Freshman Ellie Mork (102) and senior Morgan Schuh (102) provided stability in the middle of the order, while seniors Charlie L (104) and Grace M (105) added important counting scores.
While Bay Port separated itself from the pack early, Pulaski’s spread of contributions from both veterans and newcomers signaled a promising foundation as the FRCC season unfolds.
