Mary B. Korb, age 73 of the Township of Pella, Shawano County, passed away peacefully at her home early Tuesday morning, August 26, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Mary Beth Korb was born February 8, 1952 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter to the late Robert E. & Joan (Schwalbach) Lee. She attended Brookfield Central High School and graduated with the class of 1971. After attending a technical program to become an x-ray technician, Mary started working at the VA hospital in Milwaukee. Mary was united in marriage to Gary Marvin Korb in Elm Grove, WI on June 16, 1973. The couple then moved to the San Fernando Valley, CA, where she worked at Holy Cross Hospital for a time. After re-locating to the Pella area, Mary worked for the Clintonville Hospital until it closed, and Shawano Hospital, later retiring as an ultrasound technician. She had a long career in the medical field, and her friendly demeanor was helpful in putting patients at ease. Anyone who knew Mary, knew that she had never met a stranger, and could talk with friends and family with ease, often for long conversations. She felt right at home shopping for bargains, looking through the clearance racks, and searching for new treasures at local craft fairs and Amish auctions. Mary enjoyed traveling, a good fish fry, and spoiling her many Basset Hound companions over the years. After some health issues, spending time with her many good friends kept her going and hopeful through some of the challenges. Mary will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, as her children and grandchildren were everything to her.
