The BABA Championship is all set with the Clintonville taking on Little Falls on Sunday August 31st at 2pm at R.A. and Joyce Radies Memorial Park in Little Falls.
Here’s how both teams got here.
Clintonville – 9, Scandinavia – 8
The Clintonville A’s pulled off a dramatic comeback Sunday, scoring five runs in the bottom of the ninth to walk off with a 9–8 win over Scandinavia.
Trailing 8–4 heading into their final at-bat, Clintonville’s bats came alive, capped by clutch hitting that pushed across the game-winning run. Brock Smejkal not only earned the win on the mound, but also led the offense with a 4-for-5 day that included a double. Austin Hoffman added two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs, while Hunter Vollmer and Turner Doornink each chipped in RBIs.
Little Falls – 4, Eland – 1
Chris Dunn turned in a dominant performance on the mound, and Little Falls used timely hitting to beat Eland 4–1 on Sunday.
Dunn went 8.1 innings, scattering just four hits with two strikeouts and no walks to earn the win. At the plate, he also added a hit as part of a balanced Little Falls offense. Drew Radies delivered the big blow with a two-run homer, while Cam Gruenwald and Jenner Gullixon each collected two hits. Kal Fischer and Carter Kurki also chipped in with singles to keep the pressure on.
