GILLETT, WI- Amid the rides, food, and livestock at the Oconto County Fair, the Oconto Falls School District is using its booth to recruit much-needed school bus drivers.
District representatives, including Bev Wolf, said the need is pressing with open positions for route drivers, substitute drivers, and those willing to help with athletic trips. “We need some bus drivers,” Wolf explained. “Faith and I are here today to hopefully come up with some interested parties in driving school bus.”
The district offers competitive hourly pay and provides the necessary training for applicants to earn their commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement.
Wolf encouraged anyone interested in making a difference for local students to stop by the district’s booth inside the fair building to learn more.
