Shawano police were kept busy Monday with a series of calls ranging from property disputes to welfare checks.
It started early in the morning when officers responded to property damage on West Pine Street. Later, a resident on East Elizabeth Street reported crews digging in her yard without notice while installing fiber optics, prompting a civil complaint.
In the afternoon, police checked on the well-being of several residents. One call involved a woman with dementia repeatedly asking for help on East Division Street, while another came from Pizza Hut employees who removed a man reportedly passing out against the building and possibly under the influence.
That evening, officers were called to a disturbance at Richmond Street where a woman was allegedly banging on doors and refusing to leave. Just before 10 p.m., a burglary was reported at a Humphrey Circle apartment, where a resident said his car had been broken into.
Police also investigated an identity theft complaint on East Richmond Street, assisted ambulance crews on several calls, and handled a vehicle repossession.
The night wrapped up with multiple welfare checks, including one on Cherry Court, where officers responded to reports of threats and a possible mental health crisis.
Shawano police continue to monitor these cases.
Clintonville Police responded to a variety of calls the day began just after midnight with several business checks along Main and 9th Streets, followed by an ambulance call on Elm Street. Officers also conducted traffic stops on Highway 45, West Madison Street, and later at 7th and Maize.
Around mid-morning, police handled a paper service on 6th Street, a warrant arrest on North Main, and an ordinance violation on 16th Street. Crews also responded to a fire alarm on Maize Street, which was cleared without incident.
In the evening, officers provided extra patrols at Memorial Circle, the Pickerel Point Playground, Picnic Point, and Green Tree Road. They also assisted citizens on South Main Street and South Clinton Avenue.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a busy range of calls across the area.
Deputies responded just after midnight to a noise complaint at an apartment on South Webb Street in Wittenberg, where loud music prompted a resident to call authorities. The issue was left for the landlord to address.
Around 2:30 in the morning, a traffic hazard was reported near Highway 22 and County Road CC. A boot and sweater, possibly with blood on them, were found along the roadside. Deputies collected the items for further investigation.
Later that morning, deputies were called to Highway 29 near mile marker 238, where a reckless driver sideswiped another vehicle, causing a personal injury crash.
In another case, a Shawano resident reported a disturbance after a woman allegedly kicked in their screen door and damaged their car.
The afternoon brought several incidents, including the recovery of a stolen 2025 Land Rover in Krakow, a threatening complaint in the town of Belle Plaine, and multiple 911 hang-ups across Wittenberg and Bonduel. Deputies also investigated trespassing on Derby Lane in Cecil and a report of a stolen bicycle in Shawano.
Reckless driving continued to be a concern, with multiple calls throughout the day, including a red Ford Fusion seen swerving on Highway 29 and a black SUV reported speeding south on Highway 22.
In the evening, a woman called 911 near Birnamwood to verify whether a deputy who had pulled her over was a real officer. Deputies confirmed the stop was legitimate. Later, a resident on West Cherry Road reported a suspicious black truck driving past their home without headlights for the second night in a row.
The Stockbridge-Munsee Police Department also handled a call that afternoon, assisting a motorist on Main Street in Bowler who had locked their keys inside a Dodge Caravan.
