OCONTO COUNTY, WI – Fair season is officially underway across Northeast Wisconsin, and the Oconto County Youth Fair is putting a fresh spin on tradition with new events added to this year’s schedule.
Fair Board Secretary Cindy Arndt says one of the highlights comes later this week during the opening ceremonies, when Miss Wisconsin 2025 and Miss Teen Wisconsin 2025 will make appearances to help kick off the celebration.
Oconto County’s Fairest of the Fair, Grace Seefeldt, is also playing a key role in making the fair more inclusive for young participants. She’s introducing a special swine show designed for children with special needs, giving them the chance to work alongside exhibitors, bathe the animals, and step into the ring to show a pig of their own.
The fair officially opened on Saturday and continues through August 23, offering a full lineup of livestock shows, entertainment, and family fun.
