Shawano Police responded to a disturbance at Woodport Doors on Industrial Drive around 8:18 a.m., where two employees were reportedly involved in an altercation. Officers arrived within minutes and separated the individuals.
Later in the morning, a trespassing complaint was called in from East Green Bay Street after a man emerged from nearby woods, allegedly acting erratically and nearly being struck by a vehicle the previous day.
Police also handled an ongoing animal welfare concern on South Smalley Street, where a dog had reportedly been left alone for extended periods, barking continuously.
Traffic safety was a theme throughout the day — with multiple reckless driving reports, including a white pickup speeding through a construction zone near Cecil at up to 70 miles per hour, and another vehicle swerving on Highway 22.
In the afternoon, officers conducted welfare checks, including one at the request of the Veterans Affairs Police after a man expressed suicidal thoughts.
Evening calls included a speeding Tesla that nearly caused a collision by Shawano High School, a suspicious person digging through a dumpster on Woodlawn Drive, and a welfare check after reports of a man sleeping in the street downtown.
Clintonville Police report Officers were busy Thursday, starting with several early morning traffic stops across the city, including N. 12th Street, N. Main, and S. Main. A 911 call from South Main Street was handled without incident, followed by extra patrol at a local school.
Around 11 a.m., police responded to a reported burglary on County Highway I, and later in the day, two ambulance calls were dispatched — one to Club House Drive and another to 7th Street. Officers also checked on a welfare concern at Flora Way and conducted extra patrol at Rohrer Playground.
In the afternoon, police investigated a motor vehicle crash on South Main Street. Evening activity included more traffic stops, a business check, and extra patrol around Memorial Circle — where officers also handled two separate 911 calls.
Shawano County deputies responded to a wide range of calls from suspicious activity to animal complaints and traffic issues.
Just after midnight, a caller reported breaking into a church on County Trunk U in Shawano. In Wittenberg, deputies checked on a suspicious person seen driving a silver Toyota Corolla. Around 6 a.m., a resident on Dump Road reported unusual traffic and a black Dodge Charger parked in the roadway.
Animal-related calls included a dog chained to a stop sign in Shawano, and a disturbing report from Oconto Falls, where a neighbor’s dog allegedly killed several show chickens and rabbits.
Traffic incidents were frequent — with multiple reports of reckless driving, disabled vehicles on Highways 29 and 45, and several non-reportable and property-damage crashes. Deputies also picked up a man on an active warrant and assisted other agencies, including Clintonville Police, in locating a suspect vehicle.
Later in the day, a Wittenberg resident reported the theft of a laser tool from his shop, and deputies responded to multiple alarms in Shawano and Bonduel, all determined to be secure.
The day wrapped up with a late-night 911 pocket dial from Birnamwood.
