NEW LONDON, WI – After six decades of serving young people across Wisconsin, Rawhide Youth Services is marking its 60th anniversary with a special celebration in New London this weekend.
Marketing Brand Manager Carrie Seubert says the organization began with a couple who had a deep love for youth and a passion for helping those often forgotten, especially kids who had experienced trauma or behavioral challenges. “This weekend’s celebration will give the public a chance to see that mission in action,” Seubert said, noting several special activities are planned.
Guests can take guided tours, explore the Barton Cherry Starr Museum, and purchase tickets for the Starr Legacy Raffle, which will award Bart Starr’s last donated vehicle, a Lexus, to one lucky winner on Monday.
The event takes place Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the New London campus and will feature a fish fry, an alumni reunion, and other family-friendly activities. Organizers say it’s an opportunity for the community to celebrate Rawhide’s history while continuing to support its mission of giving hope and guidance to Wisconsin youth.
