NEW LONDON, WI – New London’s Rawhide Youth Services is marking a major milestone this year, its 60th anniversary, and inviting the community to join in the celebration. Founded in 1965, Rawhide has grown into what Marketing Brand Manager Carrie Seubert calls “a premier mental and behavioral health provider for at-risk youth,” serving young people ages 10 through their late teens.
The anniversary celebration will take place at Rawhide’s New London campus and kick off in the afternoon with a variety of family-friendly activities. From 2 to 4 p.m., guests can enjoy a selection of food trucks, while a classic car show will run from 2 to 5 p.m. The event will also feature live music from The Spicy Deuce Band and Spicy Thai Band from 2 to 7 p.m. On Monday, there will be an announced winner for Bart Starr’s old Lexus Car that he donated to Rawhide.
Seubert says the anniversary is not just about honoring Rawhide’s history, but also about recognizing the thousands of youth and families they’ve helped over the years. The event is free and open to the public, offering a chance for the community to learn more about Rawhide’s mission while enjoying an afternoon of food, music, and classic cars.
