The BABA Semifinals are set with the first round taking place over the weekend.
WEST DIVISION
Little Falls 12, Leopolis 1
Chris Dunn was dominant on the mound for Little Falls, throwing six innings of one-hit ball with 11 strikeouts. Dunn also added two hits at the plate, while Carter Kurki belted a home run as part of his two-hit game. Parker Gullixon also went deep, and Tanner Nienhaus chipped in two hits. Leopolis managed just one hit, coming from Jackson Krohn.
Caroline 9, Tigerton 8
Caroline pulled off a dramatic walk-off win, as Justin Reminger drew a bases-loaded walk to end the game. Reminger was also the winning pitcher, while Kyle Finger had a huge day at the plate with two hits, a double, and four RBIs. Klay Barkow and Neil Hoffman added two hits each. Tigerton was powered by homers from Connor Harris and Paul Sellner, while Logan Wanta and Izaiah Hidde each had two hits.
EAST DIVISION
Neopit 11, Marion 4
Neopit’s offense came alive with five players collecting multi-hit games, led by Anthony Leeman’s three hits and a double. Walker Miller earned the win on the mound, backed by doubles from Wendell Waukau and Ray White. Bob Peters also went 2-for-3. Marion’s Nick Schoen had two hits, while Ryan Mortenson added a double.
Clintonville 9, Gresham 5
Clintonville used a balanced attack to move on, with Hunter Vollmer going 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI, and Brock Smejkal driving in three runs. Jake Van Allen and Aaron Hoffman each tallied two hits and an RBI. Gresham’s offense was paced by Treyvon Granquist, who went 3-for-5 with a homer, and Tom Nietzer, who doubled among his two hits.
SOUTH CENTRAL DIVISION
Scandinavia 7, WeyMont 0
Ben Lee was nearly unhittable, tossing a complete-game shutout with 14 strikeouts. Lee also had two hits and an RBI, while Landon Moe added two hits and two RBIs. Jake Hoffman doubled in the win. WeyMont managed just two hits, one each from Collin Jorgensen and Kolden Baehman.
Plover 8, New London 2
Kaden Thauer led Plover’s offense with three hits and a double, while Josh Marcione added two hits and a double. Bennett Klish reached base four times, going 1-for-1 with three walks. Josh Opiola picked up the win on the mound. Brent Helsten had two hits, including a double, for New London.
NORTH DIVISION
Birnamwood 9, Elderon 0
Birnamwood advanced with a shutout win, blanking Elderon in the opening round. No further details were reported.
