SHAWANO, WI – A 34-year-old registered sex offender is scheduled to be released into the Shawano community this month, according to the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities say Branden J. Broughton will be considered homeless upon his release. Broughton was convicted in 2010 of second-degree sexual assault of a child in Shawano County.
As part of his sentence, Broughton is required to remain on the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry for life and will be monitored by GPS tracking.
