OCONTO, WI- The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has confirmed the state’s first measles cases of 2025. Nine cases were reported in Oconto County, all linked to out-of-state travel.
DHS says there’s no known public exposure and the risk to the general public remains low.
One case was confirmed through lab testing, with the rest identified through symptoms and contact tracing. Health officials remind the public that measles is highly contagious and stress the importance of vaccination.
