Shawano Police responded to a variety of calls, ranging from welfare checks and suspicious activity to bail jumping and vehicle lockouts.
Shortly after midnight, officers were called to Sharonas Bar on South Washington Street after a report that a female, who’s out on bond with a no-alcohol condition, was seen drinking. Officers responded and cleared the scene within minutes.
Later in the morning, a suspicious vehicle was investigated near South Weed and West Pine. Police also recovered a pink Mongoose bike left at the back door of the department.
Around noon, a minor car accident involving a semi-truck occurred near South Fairview Way, with the caller pulling into a nearby business lot for safety.
In the afternoon, a concerning welfare check was requested for children reportedly playing unsupervised near a pool. Two of the children were said to be autistic and unable to be left alone.
Evening calls included reports of a man seen running through a Walmart parking lot with a child in his arms, and a group of juveniles dangerously close to traffic on Main Street trying to get cars to honk.
Police also responded to a missing person call at Birch Hill Care Center. Staff reported a resident possibly exited through a window and was missing for about 15 minutes.
Finally, officers investigated a stolen electric bike from the American Legion and assisted multiple citizens locked out of their vehicles.

The early morning hours saw a series of routine business checks, primarily along South Main Street and 6th Street. Officers conducted multiple patrols starting just after 3 a.m., helping ensure the security of downtown businesses.
Later in the day, officers responded to an animal complaint, a suspicious person call, and a medical assist. No major arrests or incidents were reported.
The department also handled welfare checks, traffic stops, and a noise complaint — keeping the community safe and responsive to residents’ concerns.
Most incidents were cleared without issue, and no serious crimes were reported.
It was a busy day for Shawano County deputies yesterday, with more than 60 incidents logged across the county.
The day began just before 1 a.m. with an anonymous tip leading deputies to Sharonas, where a woman out on bond was reportedly violating her conditions by drinking.
At 7 a.m., a male individual turned himself in at the jail lobby on a warrant. Just over an hour later, deputies responded to a reckless driving report involving an Oconto Falls officer allegedly speeding westbound on Highway 29.
Mid-morning, residents in Krakow reported a yellow aircraft flying unusually low. The Sheriff’s Office contacted airport management for clarification. Around the same time in Tigerton, deputies conducted a welfare check after concerns were raised about a caretaker staying at a residence after the homeowner passed away.
In Clintonville, a woman reported someone removed the battery from her lawnmower. And in Bonduel, a property theft was reported using location data from the victim’s phone.
One of the biggest themes of the day: court-related issues. Over 30 contempt of court violations were logged—most centered around the courthouse at 405 North Main Street.
Later in the afternoon, deputies investigated multiple reckless driving incidents and a bail jumping charge.
There were also reports of noise disturbances, 911 calls, and a traffic accident on Highway 22.
