Shawano County Renews Mielke Arts Center Lease with Arts Council Through 2030

SHAWANO, WI- Shawano County officials voted on July 17 to extend the lease of the Mielke Arts Center to the Shawano County Arts Council for another five years. The renewed agreement, effective from Sept. 1 through Aug. 31, 2030, will automatically renew annually unless either party ends the arrangement. Located at N5649 Airport Road in Shawano, the center will continue to be managed by the arts council to promote cultural and arts programming, host community events, and provide space for local organizations and youth groups. The lease focuses solely on the arts center building and does not include the surrounding Mielke Park. The park will remain open to the public without any entry fees.
