Shawano Police responded to a range of incidents on Thursday, many of them during the early morning hours.
Officers conducted several welfare checks throughout the day. One woman was found crying and injured near Torborgs, requiring an ambulance for an arm injury. Another welfare call came from a resident on Picnic Street, prompting a rapid response. Officers also assisted at the intersection of South Lincoln and East Stevens, where a woman was seen crying and walking alone.
Just before 4 a.m., police assisted Shawano Fire at ThedaCare Medical Center after a patient allegedly triggered a fire alarm. Later in the morning, officers responded to a suspicious vehicle outside Kwik Trip—reports said it had front-end damage and blown tires with no one around.
At Bolin’s Speedy Tees, staff reported an attempted burglary discovered during a door repair, believed to have occurred in the past two weeks.
Police also handled multiple vehicle lockouts, including at Charlie’s County Market and Shawano Pawn Shop. A hit-and-run was reported on South Airport Drive, where a silver car struck a mailbox and lingered in the area before leaving.
In a potentially serious incident, a caller reported a black SUV impersonating a police vehicle on East Richmond Street. The SUV reportedly had flashing lights and a person in tactical-style clothing using a K9.
Other calls included a report of stray dog that later escaped capture, a disabled semi near McDonald’s, a child neglect case, and a disturbance involving yelling and verbal threats on Richmond Street.
Clintonville police officers stayed busy overnight and throughout the day with a variety of calls.
A series of early-morning business checks were conducted on Club House Drive, Green Tree Road, and Hemlock Street—part of routine efforts to keep local properties secure.
Officers responded to several traffic stops and assisted residents with three lockout situations, helping individuals regain access to vehicles or buildings.
Two separate reports of harassment were investigated, and officers provided citizen assistance on additional calls.
Police also conducted extra patrols in certain neighborhoods and responded to an alarm activation, which was ultimately resolved without incident.
Other calls included a 911 hang-up, paper service delivery, and monitoring of a controlled burn.
No arrests or major incidents were reported.
Shawano County deputies responded to a variety of calls Wednesday, ranging from traffic issues to welfare checks and suspicious activity.
One of the more concerning calls came from the Town of Richmond, where a resident reported a suspicious man taking photos of kids at a bus stop. Deputies were dispatched, and the subject left the area in a black vehicle.
Another incident involved a fire alarm triggered by an uncooperative patient at ThedaCare Medical Center. Shawano officers and fire personnel responded quickly to ensure safety.
In Belle Plaine, a woman reported that her intoxicated neighbor had entered her garage uninvited and then fell asleep on her porch. No injuries were reported, and deputies are following up.
Multiple traffic-related incidents were logged, including a car versus deer crash in Angelica, a vehicle in a ditch in Wittenberg, and debris in the roadway on Highway 45 near Fairgrounds Road.
There were several welfare checks throughout the day—including a woman found crying on South Lincoln Street—and deputies handled multiple reports of verbal disturbances, one involving threats.
