SHAWANO COUNTY, WI – Shawano County officially welcomed a new County Clerk this week as Raymond Rigsby was sworn into office during Wednesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting.
Rigsby, who previously served as the supervisor for District 22, took the oath of office led by Chairman Tom Kautza. The appointment fills the vacant Clerk position and marks a shift in county leadership.
With Rigsby stepping into his new role, his former seat on the board, District 22, is now vacant. Chairman Kautza confirmed that the county is immediately beginning the search for a replacement.
“The seat for District 22 is open, and we will start looking for candidates from that area to fill that seat,” Kautza said.
District 22 represents Morris Ward 2 and includes portions of the towns of Marion, Grant, and Seneca. Applications for the vacancy are now being accepted. Interested candidates must reside within the district to be considered.
