WAUPACA, WI – A familiar face in local law enforcement is officially entering the race for Waupaca County Sheriff.
Former Waupaca County Deputy Justin Malueg has launched his campaign, bringing more than a decade of experience in public safety and leadership. Malueg says the decision to run stems from a long-standing desire to lead and serve his community.
“I’m just a really big leadership guy,” Malueg said. “It’s always been an aspiration of mine to be someone others can look up to and come to for answers.”
Among the priorities in his campaign, Malueg is highlighting the growing concern of drug and alcohol addiction in the county. He says addressing the issue and raising awareness is critical to the health and safety of the community.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s race is expected to draw significant attention ahead of the 2026 election.
