It was a busy day for Shawano Police, with officers responding to more than two dozen calls across the city.
The day began just before 2 a.m. with a fight at the Four Seasons Hotel on North Airport Drive. Multiple officers responded after a caller reported a disturbance in progress. Paramedics were also dispatched, and the situation was resolved by around 3 a.m. No word yet on any arrests or injuries.
Later that morning, a bag of suspected drugs was found in a public restroom at Swedberg Funeral Home. Police are investigating the discovery, which was made sometime between Monday and Thursday.
Officers also investigated a reported assault just after 3:30 p.m. at Madison Way Apartments. The caller told dispatchers that someone threw hot coffee on them. No serious injuries were reported, and police are continuing their investigation.
A report of two young girls screaming outside a duplex on Teddington Lane led to a disturbance call around 8:20 p.m. Officers responded quickly, but details remain limited.
Finally, Shawano Police responded to noise complaints, multiple fender benders, and several welfare checks throughout the day and night. At least one welfare check involved an elderly woman’s medical alarm, though no emergency was ultimately found.
It was a busy day for Clintonville police, starting just after midnight with a noise complaint on North 12th Street. Officers responded to multiple traffic stops throughout the day, including on Highway 45, South Main, and Waupaca Street.
Around 8 a.m., police were called to a vehicle crash at South Main and 10th Street. Thankfully, no major injuries were reported. Just minutes later, a 911 call came in from the same area.
Two stray animal reports also came in during the morning, including one near North Main and 13th. Officers assisted another agency near Bear Creek Road and provided an escort on South Main.
A suspicious activity call was logged in the Hillcrest Court area in the afternoon, and a welfare check was conducted at Memorial Circle.
Officers were also busy with extra patrols in several neighborhoods and responded to a citizen assist call just before midnight.
Deputies responded to over two dozen incidents across the county, beginning just after 3 a.m. with an unusual 911 call. A man was heard upset in the background—apparently over his birthday—at a home on South Bartlett Street in Shawano.
A welfare check in Pulaski was requested by a concerned partner who hadn’t heard from his significant other in four days. Fortunately, no foul play was reported.
Traffic-related issues dominated much of the day, with several reckless driving complaints—starting early on Highway 29, where a pickup was reportedly swerving, and later, another vehicle was spotted weaving in and out of traffic near Eland. A third call came in from Highway 22, involving a driver possibly falling asleep behind the wheel.
In Bonduel, a resident reported a scam involving a man trying to hire him to demolish a house he didn’t own. Deputies confirmed the home is part of a trust.
A few 911 calls stood out, including one with only the sound of a cow mooing in the background and another where a woman exclaimed, “Aw dangit,” followed by a car horn.
There were also two reports of disabled vehicles, including one in Birnamwood where airbags had deployed and the horn was still sounding.
Animal concerns came in too—one involving a sick dog left in a parked car in Cecil for nearly two hours, windows barely cracked.
And over in Bowler, the Stockbridge-Munsee Police dealt with an animal complaint and assisted with a medical call at North Star Casino.
