SHAWANO, WI- Get ready to soak up the sun and enjoy a family-friendly evening tonight, as Smalley Park hosts another round of its popular Beach Bash series.
From 2 to 7 p.m., families can look forward to a variety of fun activities and community connections. The Shawano Police Department will be on hand, while Terryoke’s Mountain Top Entertainment LLC brings the music with a live DJ set. The Shawano County Library will offer beachside crafts, Shawano Paddlers will lead games, and Cortland’s Sweet Shack will provide delicious treats.
“It’s a nice event, and it’s not incredibly busy,” said Officer Brandi Hoffman with the Shawano Police Department. “There’s probably around 70 people, and it’s a great way for kids to come down on a Friday night and enjoy activities by the water.”
Organized by Shawano Park and Recreation, Beach Bash events are held monthly throughout the summer. “They do one in June, July, and August,” said Hoffman. “Sometimes there are food trucks, inflatable water slides, and the one in July usually features the dunk tank, where Officer Tyler and I take a turn getting dunked.”
Hoffman also teased possible extras. “There’s usually some karaoke going on too. It’s just a lot of different little activities for kids.”
With sunshine, music, games, and community fun, this Friday’s Beach Bash promises a perfect summer outing for all ages.
